Sierra Soetedjo, a young female Indonesian born on June 26th, singer/songwriter, grew up dancing and singing at church since she was 7 yrs old in Jakarta, Indonesia. She studies music at WAAPA (Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts), graduated in Advance Diploma of Contemporary Music in 2005 and Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) in 2007.
During high school, Sierra received awards for Music and a Merit Certificate for Outstanding Performance and Commitment to the Music Department in 1999. She has performed in the Performing Arts Festival for both singing and dancing at the Bunbury Eisteddfod, and received various awards such as 1st Places in Vocal Solo, Sacred Solo, Popular Solo, and Vocal Trio at Bunbury Eisteddfod, 3rd Place in Traditional Folk Song, Highly Commended Popular Vocal, and Vocal Solo/Duet in 2001.
In January '08, Sierra went back to Jakarta continuing to pursue her music career. She worked together with an Indonesian Jazz singer named Tompi and become a featured artist on his 3rd album (My Happy Life) singing a duet called "Love Letter".
She has recently been on tour around Java with one of the famous Indonesian Jazz Maestro, Idang Rasjidi and the Syndicate, on the event called "MEDCO Green Energy Jazz" in August '08, and with Ireng Maulana on Eddy Syakroni's project called "Semarang Just Jazz", Central Java in October '08. Sierra has performed at Jakarta International Jazz Festival �08 and Semarang 1st Jambore Just Jazz Festival, collaborated with Mus Mujiono.
